Hi everyone,
I'm Vascha Hongyok, owner of Touchwood Yoga Studio here in beautiful Phuket, Thailand and I'm so excited to celebrate International Yoga Day with you all! Yoga has been a part of my life for many years now, and it's something that I truly cherish. It's a practice that has helped me to connect with my body, my mind, and my spirit in a way that nothing else has.
I first started practicing yoga when I was in my early twenties while living in Australia. I was looking for a way to relieve stress and anxiety, and I was also hoping to improve my flexibility. I quickly fell in love with the practice, and I've been doing it ever since.
Yoga has taught me so much about myself. It's taught me how to listen to my body, how to breathe deeply, and how to find stillness in the midst of chaos. It's also helped me to develop a greater sense of self-awareness and compassion.
I believe that yoga is for everyone. It doesn't matter if you're young or old, fit or not, experienced or a beginner. Yoga is a practice that can be adapted to fit anyone's needs.
If you're new to yoga, I encourage you to give it a try. There are many different types of yoga, so you're sure to find one that's right for you. And even if you've been practicing yoga for a while, I encourage you to keep exploring. There's always more to learn.
So on this International Yoga Day, I invite you to join me in celebrating the practice that has brought so much joy and peace into my life. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a complete beginner, I hope you'll take some time today to connect with your body, your mind, and your spirit through yoga.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti,
Vasucha
